A Word from John Quincy Adams

Bible Text Psalm 33:12-15 (NIV)  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth— he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.

July 4, 1821, John Quincy Adams (6th President of the United States) declared:

“From the day of the Declaration…they (the American people) were bound by the laws of God, which they all, and by the laws of The Gospel, which they nearly all, acknowledge as the rules of their conduct.”

Prayer: Father, You have said, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” May this be so for America. Bring us humbly before You. Cause a revival over this land! Draw us to Yourself and hold America tight in Your strong arms. Protect her and defend her. And may we, may America, proclaim Jesus as her Savior once again.  Amen
