Jesus on marriage & divorce; sexual immorality.
The Gospel According to Matthew – Week 20
This week’s text is Matthew 13:40 – 14:7. Pastor explores several more parables of Jesus; there will be a judgement and evil will be destroyed, only things of God will remain; the narrative of the entire Bible holds together from beginning to end, the Old and New Covenants, ending with the story of Herod, Herodias and John the Baptist.
My Witnesses
We explore Truth #8: “We are all called to be witnesses of Jesus Christ.” From Acts 1:1-8 Pastor explores the ways we are His witnesses: lifestyle, language and by the love we share, show and give to others. Love is the heart of the Bible’s message, that God’s steadfast love endures forever. Love is the way we demonstrate the character of God and how we bear witness to the loving Son of God who gave His life for us all.
Two Year Gospel Study Week 15
Mark 9:14-37. Week 15 topics: Faith & Prayer – the bridge between Man’s Frailty and God’s sufficiency; Who killed Jesus?; Which of us is the greatest?
The Gospel According to Matthew – Week 19
This week’s text is Matthew 13:10-39. Pastor explores the Parable of the Sower and several other parables of Jesus. Parables have a twofold purpose – they reveal truth about the Kingdom of God, but for the inattentive and unconcerned they conceal the truths of God. This may seem harsh, but Pastor explains God’s mercy in concealing the divine truths until a person is ready to receive them.
The Living One – Week 5: Lord and God!
Today’s message invites us to come meet Jesus as we explore the story of the disciple Thomas. He was a brave believer who was willing to die for Jesus, but also one who is most well known as “Doubting Thomas.” Our world is one of spiritual poverty and skepticism, but when we turn our eyes to Jesus we can hear Him saying, “Stop doubting and believe!” May our response be, “Lord and God!”
Two Year Gospel Study Week 14
Mark 8:31 – 9:13. The cost of discipleship; sacrifice & redemption: Power and authority of God; Jesus glorified (the Transfiguration).
The Living One – Week 4: Who Would Invent This?
Everything stands and falls on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the heart of the New Testament, and also the greatest message the world has ever heard. Christ is risen! Today’s message explores cowardice, crucifixion, corroboration, confusion and finally courage that opens our eyes to be convinced! Christ is risen, and in Him is our hope for today and forever, for He IS The Living One!
