God’s heart is to rekindle in each of us a relationship with Him!
Intercede for Those Afflicted
Jesus healed the afflicted and delivered the demon-oppressed. He grants us authority to do the same through intercessory prayer! So, will we hush up or act in faith on what God declares?
aka James – Bathed in Prayer
James emphasizes the importance of prayer in the life of each believer. We are to follow God faithfully, trust Him implicitly, and talk to Him regularly!
aka James – Patience! Patience!
James urges believers to stand firm until the Lord’s return, patiently enduring suffering while speaking truth in a corrupt and increasingly hostile culture.
aka James – A Word to the Wealthy
The Bible views wealth as morally neutral, but warns that it can become a trap. James points out that selfish and oppressive misuse of wealth will ultimately destroy those who trust in it instead of in God.
aka James – Long-Range Plans
Who knows what tomorrow will bring, or if it will even come for us? Rather than trying to make decisions in our own power, James urges us to seek the wisdom of God, the power of His Word, and the understanding of the One who made us, so that we may make decisions that are in step with Him!
aka James – Church Fights
James warns believers to shun patterns of fighting and quarreling, which lead only to destruction of the individual and the body of Christ. He calls us instead to a way of life that gives God glory and brings strength and joy to each of us!
Fingerprints of God: The Children of Israel
To see God’s “fingerprints” in history, consider His chosen people, the Jews. Over the past 3,500 years, they are the only people to have been uprooted from their land, scattered among the nations, and then brought back to re-establish their country – not once but twice!
aka James – True Wisdom
Wisdom is not the same as intelligence. It is quite possible to have a high IQ and still live foolishly. James tells us where to seek genuine wisdom: through awe of God, the Cross of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, and prayer.
Fingerprints of God: The Miracle of Life
We are so used to the things we see every day that we often fail to notice how miraculous they are. We need to understand that life itself is a “fingerprint” of God!
