Pastor Dodge has a new Sunday series!

This series, “What’s the answer…”, will give answers to some of the most common, pressing and difficult questions heard today.

One of the things we see in the Bible is that Jesus is always asking questions. He’s also answering questions. Sometimes we feel reluctant to deal with questions, but questions are good because in asking questions, it means we are seeking answers.

Prayer is an important part of our Awake Us Now Ministry. We invite you to join Pastor Dodge as he leads us in Prayers for America. 

Two options for joining in these special prayers:
1. Weekday Prayer M-F
We invite you to join Pastor live at 8:30am CT (or on demand) for prayer – Mondays through Fridays – on our website, Facebook, APP and Youtube. Starting Friday, October 18th and every weekday through Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, Pastor will share a One minute Prayer for America.

2. Listen via Radio

Tuesday Bible Class
Bible Class on Matthew is focused on the last week of Jesus’ life before His arrest, crucifixion, death and resurrection. Coming up on Tuesday, 10/22, Pastor Dodge explores the SEVEN WOES that Jesus speaks against the Pharisees and religious leaders. Jesus speaks truth bluntly to these leaders because His heart is to call them back to Himself.For us, these seven woes remind us of the importance of taking to heart the teachings of Jesus to love God above all else and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  Watch at our website, Facebook,  APP and Youtube. 
Two Year Study of the Gospels
This study is a deep dive into the New Testament’s four Gospels. The Two Year Study of the Gospels has been one of Pastor Dodge’s most popular studies. Friday mornings at 9:30am CT and available on demand also. Pastor is in the Gospel of Luke and if you have questions about Jesus or the events surrounding His life, questions about the individuals He encounters, or want to know about what is going on “behind the scenes,” then join us because Pastor provides an amazing amount of history, archeological news, background info, pictures, character studies and an in depth look at who Jesus is. Pastor also likes to occasionally share what he refers to as “some holy speculation” which always gives us some extra food for thought. This Two Year Study of the Gospels can be started at anytime! DAILY Awake releases a podcasted teaching of Pastor Dodge’s. These messages encourage, teach, tickle your ears and touch your heart because Pastor teaches directly from God’s Word and is always pointing us to Jesus. Bible in a Year
Bible in a Year is nearing the end for 2024 but will be re-starting Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Plan now to join us in 2025. Each Saturday the podcast of the week’s featured teaching is also released. Pastor explores over 30 challenging, encouraging, and life-changing truths. Grow Gracefully: Training

Despite the most rigorous physical exercise and training regimen, our bodies will age and, eventually, die. But there is a training – training in godliness – that lasts into eternity.

The spiritual diet we eat, the spiritual exercise we do and the spiritual training we choose affects our ability to grow graceful as Jesus’ disciples.

Training ourselves for godliness has benefits for today, tomorrow and for eternity. Spiritual training is timeless.

Train to be godly – Christianity is not a spectator sport. We can’t be a couch potato. We must be in training to be godly. This is training with eternal rewards – a crown of life.

Train yourself to be godly – What does godly training look like and how do we accomplish it?

1. DIET – We are what we eat – this truth is both physical and spiritual. Concentrate on what is true, good, honorable and noble and be in God’s word. Fill up on the food that truly nourishes, the food of His Word. We are to seek Him with our whole heart and that begins with our diet, as we take in God’s Word and allow that word to fill us up for the work He has given us to do. How’s your diet? Fill up on the good things of God.

2. EXERCISE – we need to exercise our faith, to practice what we preach, to live out what we believe, to put into practice what God has said. As we practice our faith we grow stronger. It’s like strength training with weights; the more we exercise and practice, the stronger we get. As we practice our faith we become stronger in our commitment to Christ: that is training in godliness.

3. A TRAINER – A personal trainer can really help with preparing to participate in a race and God provides a personal spiritual trainer for each and every believer, that personal trainer is the Holy Spirit, our Advocate. The Holy Spirit, our Personal Spiritual Trainer, helps to strengthen, encourage and equip us for godliness.

Why live a couch potato life as a follower of Jesus? Why be just a weekend warrior? Why not live as dedicated disciples, committed to Jesus and who are training ourselves in His strength for godliness? Let us finish the race well!

Training in godliness is the natural follow-through for a follower of Jesus.

Growing Gracefully in Joy

Unlike happiness, joy is not an emotion, dependent on particular circumstances. Joy is anchored in God, and through Jesus it is triumphant even over the sufferings of this world.

Growing Gracefully In Joy – We are living in a time of chaos and uncertainty, a time of unbridled anger on all ends of the spectrum and if ever there was at time that the people of God needed to remember and reflect the joy of the Lord, THIS IS THE TIME! 

This is a great time to be growing in joy as we rely on the Holy Spirit to empower and strengthen us every day and in every circumstance and situation. 

The Bible is full of joy, 440 times it is mentioned. God brings joy to the lives of His children. The joy of the Lord is our strength!

Pastor answers these questions:
Where does joy come from?
How is joy developed?
What nurtures joy?
What hinders joy?

Many of us are living in fear, wondering about the things that are coming. Fearful about what may happen in the coming months. But the Bible has clear teaching in the scriptures about Joy.

These are:
Joy…
Is anchored in God
Is a choice
Is sometimes hindered
Is not circumstantial
Is triumphant

Using a book by Jerry Bridges, “The Practice of Godliness,” Pastor sets forth several 

Aids to JOY…
1. Confess and forsake sin
2. Trust in God
3. Take the long-range view of life
4. Give thanks in all circumstances

God IS faithful!
